help with the painting of this desk?
I have a wooden desk that I want white paint and give it a vintage look .. a little like those candles: When http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y117/khleeta/candleholder.jpg paint .. I use a brush or roller? I know I'll have to sand it and things to give you that look .. but what kind of brush should I use? Thanks:]
It depends. The brush will depend on what type of paint you are using, oil or latex. The Most paints are latex. You could paint your desktop, then use paint crackle, or can paint your desktop, then rough up the edges (with sandpaper so irregualr) to give an aged appearance. The painting, rather than the brush will determine the outcome. I do not worry too much brush, just take a half decent brush 2 to 2.5 inches wide. fun.
