Colored Etching

I want to keep a rusty bucket to keep the "rust" color. What type of finish can I use?

I want to keep the rust was exit. This cube is the perfect color for my bathroom and I want to burn in a toilet to match what they have going on in this bathroom. It is the right size to become the garbage can.

Rust-O-oil polyurethane makes clear that, basically, fix the rust color and prevent further oxidation. Note, however, the hub must sit in a sort of protective coating to prevent oxidation of getting on its soil. Try using a cork floor "mountain Russian "- you will find in the houseplant area of your local home repair (Lowes, Home Depot, etc. ..).
