I can not stand people who display the Confederate flag. Opinions?
I can not deal with people who display the battle flag of the Confederacy. I think it is racist, I just think that the South needs to get over NOW! It's annoying and it seems that most people down there (south) are rednecks anyway ... that put him in your garage or in their trucks! Why do people still fly this flag? Get over it! Right? The Union - Er ... the best side won!
I'm a southern boy, through and through and my family has been in the U.S. (half that was not here already) since 1663. We have an excellent track record, and none of our people, All of VA. never had slaves ... not believe in it. However, the real reason for the "war of northern aggression" had nothing to do with the slaves. At the moment there is already a great abolitionist movement taking hold in the states of slaves and slavery had been abolished as it was in England, no war. The war between the States fought for the rights of States, a very important issue today. We revere the Confederate flag for historical reasons, not by racism. We know that black Americans were those who built and sustained the economy of the south, as in the case of the emancipation of wine without war Personally I prefer the original Confederate flag, called "Bonnie Blue Flag" which is a white star on a single field of blue. Yankees need to "Get Over It "goes ballistic when they see a Confederate flag. This does not mean that we are about slavery, which means that we remember our heritage of freedom. The Union won by brute force and cruelty. Twice Lee and Jackson had defeated the Federal army, and could have wiped them all, went to DC and won. They were gentlemen, and had no desire, unlike the Yankees, to ruin their northern brethren. They just wanted to be free to decide their destiny by themselves themselves, by voting and the democratic process instead of rifle butts and terrorism. Do you really think that the "best part" won? Take the emancipation blacks, (what would have happened anyway) of the image for a moment. Do you approve of the bullying big bunch of thugs back in Washington today? Yankee If so, you definitely are pure. (Oh, I think my neck is red ... I'm half Native American) Note: KC, send me hate-filled messages on the U.S., and then not accepted by return mail. State your own opinion, and then Buzz Off! His is more worthy than anyone here, regardless of what a privileged character you think you are, because his family has had a tough time!
