How much should I sell my handmade pieces for Etsey?
I sew a lot and I will be selling things like bags and clothes etsey.com different. Often Joannes have my fabric or want something to go on fabric.com. How much should I sell my clothes ... I look at how much fabric? The time it took me to do? How unique piece is? I have no idea what to start with and I have different pieces, like a reniassance dress, evening dresses, summer dresses, etc.
Search Etsey, boutiques and shops (online and in stores) for other items similar to those that will sell - look at the quality of the fabrics, manufacture, design, etc. and use those to get an idea of what the market for its product line. Consider the costs (expenses) and the actual time involved in making things and putting them online to calculate how much you get paid. Ultimately, you want to make a profit, but not yourself full market price.
