My dog has recently started to attack my brother?
We have taken my dog for 6 months. She is a sweet heart, spaniel mix small Sheltie Tibetan. She is very well behaved but intimidated by other dogs. She is easily excited. We never had any problems with it .. Until 4 days ... now every time see my brother in 12 years, she attacks him. Today, jumped on him and tried to bite my arm, luckily, just copy across its north face. The hadnt even touched. Why is this happening?
Timid dogs, fear biters often become. The question that comes to mind is what did your brother do not, at the time of the bite, but before. A dog biting fear that has learned to defend himself will attack, strong defense to be a quick offense. Dogs have these elections, fight, flight, post, ignore. Not sure of the innocence of his brother, but now certainly need professional help. Human aggression is the most difficult recovery behavior. I do remedial work with problem dogs, and this problem can become insurmountable, and is certainly not something a coach inexperienced dogs can address. It's a cycle, the first human hurts the dog, then dog bite or otherwise attack, then the man is afraid, the dog knows what fear is and knows he is safe and responsible ... The whole cycle feeds on itself, and soon the attack dog of energy fear of hearing, and will attack any unknown energy to be sure.
