Why is it important to know about King Tut?

I'm doing this school project and I am trying to write about King Tut and his contribution to nothing

Tutankhamun was significant for several reasons. First, he was a boy-pharaoh - who was eight or nine years old when he the throne. This was quite unusual in Ancient Egypt. Secondly, he only reigned for ten years. It was once thought that might have been murdered, but in 2005 was determined that he died of gangrene after breaking his leg. (The theory that broke more colorful after being thrown from his car - a number of images of Tut in a car were found in his tomb.) Thirdly, in historical terms, Tutankhamun's significance stems from its rejection of innovations religious radicals introduced by his predecessor Akenhaten (this strange, deformed pharaoh had rejected the traditional gods and forced his subjects to worship a "sun disc" which he called "Aton"). Fourth, his tomb, unique (in the Valley of the Kings, anyway) was discovered almost intact - the most complete Ancient Egyptian tomb ever found. The discovery of Tutankhamen's tomb (by Howard Carter in 1922) still ranks as the finding most spectacular archaeological history. Oh, and I would ignore anything you read about "The Curse". It's all a bunch of sensationalist garbage.
